Assingment # 7

Herro.
Im Doing Assignment Seven From My Teacher's Blog.
It Was Based On This Section Of Civilization.ca

Q: Which category of Canadian Personalities interested you the most? Did you like the "we inspired", "we founded", "we fought", "we built" or "we governed" section the best? Why?

A: The "We Built" Category Interested Me The Most Because Without All Of Those People Helping Us Make Land, Explore Canada, And Shape The Landscapes I Wouldn't Have A Home.

Q: Which personality interested you the most? Why? Find an image of him or her to embed (add to the body of your post) and write, in your own words, a short description of what he or she did and why he or she is your favourite. If you get information from any source, you must credit it by creating a link to it (that includes information from the site that I've asked you to look at).

A: The Personality That Interested Me the Most Was Samuel De Champlain.

"Samuel de Champlain was a man of colossal scope — soldier, explorer, cartographer, writer and tireless promoter of the colony of New France." From The Biography Of The Canadian Civilization Museum Website. (Link Above)

I Like Samuel De Champlain The Most Because He Is One Of The Most Famous Explorers In Canadian History.
I Have Read About Him In Textbooks, Online Resources, And Even Made A Presentation About Him! And I Think Hes Also Well Known Because He Founded Quebec City.

Q: In your post, suggest three more influential Canadian personalities that could be added to this site. Why did you choose these people? Which categories would they fit into? Link to information about each of them.

1. David Sazuki

"Dr. David Suzuki is a famous environmentalist and geneticist from Canada that has brought much attention to the environment through the popular television series "The Nature of Things"."(Info From QuoteMonk)

I Think David Sazuki Is A Influential Canadian Becuase He Is Helping The Environment All Over The World And Helping Other Countries And At The Same Time Representing Canada.

2. June Callwood

"June Callwood is one of Canada’s most beloved and respected journalists. Callwood is also Canada’s most famous social justice activist, having founded PEN Canada, the Canadian Civil Liberties Foundation and Casey’s House, a Toronto hospice for those with AIDS."(Info From KickStartCanada)

I Think June Callwood Is A Influential Canadian Becuase She Was One Of The Most Best Reporters For Canada And Showed To Everyone The Big Pert Of Canada That Can Do Journalism In A Very Proper Manner. She Has Made Foundations To Help People All Over The WOrld To And t Shows The World That Canada Is A Caring Country

3. Terry Fox.

"While in hospital, Terry was so overcome by the suffering of other cancer patients, many of them young children, that he decided to run across Canada to raise money for cancer research.
He would call his journey the Marathon of Hope. " (Info From Terryfoxrun.org)

I Think Terry Fox Is A influential Canadian Becuase Even with two legs and no cancer, it would take an extra-ordinary person to do what he did and at his age.He personified the image of Canadian.---> Completing your dreams with hard work and effort.

Q: Which History-Maker did you have the most in common with? Were you able to figure it out from the clues given? What do you share with that person? What are some things that are different between you and that person?

A: The History-Maker That I Hade Most In Common Was With Hariet Tubman. I Actaully Wasnt Be Able To Figure It Out By The Clues. What We Share Was That We Both Like Spending our Time With Music And We Both Like Art As a Subject. We'd Go Travel To The U.S.

Q: One hundred years from now, (in 2109!) imagine that students are learning about Canadian History Makers and they discover you. What will you be remembered for? How were you a Canadian History Maker? You are using your imagination, so think about some things that you would like to accomplish in your life and imagine that you have all the accomplishments of your life to look back on. Write a short profile of yourself, imagining the contributions you have made to the future of Canada. (Write this as though you've lived your whole life. You may have been a phenomenal athlete, the first black Prime Minister, cured cancer...use your imagination!)

A: I Want To Be Remembered For Being A Famous Book Writer. I Would Be A Canadian History-Maker By Making Books that Would Be Sold Around The World And Showing How Canada Accomplished A Great Book That Is Being Loved Over The World Sorta Like June CallWood. I Would Be Rich ( XD) and Have Fans And Be Better Than That Twilight Book ( Which Sucks on My Opinion) And My Book Would Be Made Into A Movie. Id Make Sequels To My Book And There Would Be Sequels To The Movie. Then After That I'd Make And Own A Famous Magazine And Be The Editor And Chef Of It. It Would Be A Fashion/Celeb Magazine. All These Accomplishments Would Be Made In Canada And Amarican People Would Have To Come Here To Canada. So Like A Famous Celebrity I Would Be Sorta Like One But Only in Books And Magazines.

Kk Baii =3 ~Sara
